As you can see below the ORIGINAL Screamin Demin is TOTALED! The worst part is, I had absolutely no control over this. I was hit by an ignorant driver who was more concerned about his precious A/C than the safety of others on the road. Every time i go to the backyard to start-her- up I suddenly become depressed and wish that i could go back in time and avoid the whole situation, or just kick the guys ass for being an IDIOT !
Words themself cannot descibe how i felt at the time but if anyone has every done as much work at the age of 16 as I did and have it all taken away, then you know what I'm talking about. The pictures I took of my car aren't that good but i will be posting new ones as soon as i get them.
I had just finished my morning classes at North Harris and was heading to work(PuffaBelly's)at about 11:40.I turn on Aldine Westfield just like i do every day and the car in front of me was turning left, not really a big deal i slowed down to a stop and then releas e d the brake when a guy in a "test drive" 2001 intrepid,who wasnt paying attention slammed into the rear of my car doing about 45 mph. I get out to inspect the damege and its pretty bad but i hadnt relized yet that my car was about 14 inches shorter than i t was a few moments earlier. He was ok and i was wearing my seatbelt so nothing hurt on me. The police came and he said it was all his fault and HE RECIEVED a ticket. He has full coverage so i wasnt that worried about money, until i got home when it struck me that my car was a uni-body and whenever you get rear-ended the frame tends to have an accordian effect. My car being an 85, isnt worth much in the book, but i have about $8000 tied up in it not including my own labor. There is now way in hell i will even get what i originally pa i d for the car($2500)even though it has a new trans and engine, exhaust, A/C and alot more shit that i put on within the last few months. My conclusion is that even though i am the VICTIM i am getting screwed no matter what, and the other guy gets off with a ticket and a little higher insurance since they're not going to give me any money for my car. i feel that i have been hog tied and kicked in the nuts for days. thanks for listening to my bitching, this is the only way that i think it is safe to express my fealings about the situation.
